You have to remember a lot of investors are explicitly looking for human sacrifice believing it will help them get wealthier.

It helps put this post in context.

"They become equally important, perhaps even more so."

Her kids are not necessarily more important than her job. So if she ever has to make a decision between losing her job or her kids, it would be very difficult to choose. ๐Ÿ™„

I know who won't be visited by her kids when she is old.

I'm 100% sure the first write up is AI slop. The set write up is sarcasm.

Why are people mistaking the second one (which is clearly a mockery of the original post) for an earnest post?

Poe's law is a skill issue

[โ€“] BitUnWise@programming.dev 1 points 4 hours ago

Damn, a meta Poe's law post

In this case it's the reader who performed poorly

Second is clearly satire, first is batshit.

Thankyou for saving me the bother. I usually like to check who these loonies actually work for. It's almost always advertising, a.i., or advertising with a.i.

They're creating nothing worthwhile.

A parasite which leeches off of actual news sites. Truly innovation that is following the trend of the times.

[โ€“] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 20 hours ago

Yeah, I would have though this was obvious to everyone. Not even a LinkedInLunatic cares if a conference room is named after them.

But it seems plenty here are eating the onion.

Anything truly significant demands significant sacrifice. It will cost you comfort, certainty, sleep, relationships, health and parts of who you once were.

truly significant, using AI to help the rich get richer, lol.

children are often happiest when they see their parents fulfilled, alive and deeply engaged with their own purpose.

Your children would have to actually see you for that, which they barely will with poor work-life balance. When they finally do, you're probably too exhausted to do something with them and be angry instead because of your exhaustion.

[โ€“] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Fuck off. They're talking about cranking the value of a stock by a few cents by committing borderline criminal behavior like they're fucking visionaries. I am so sick of these people.

[โ€“] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 7 points 20 hours ago

Okay but hear me out here, I have an innovative new labour idea:

slavery

[โ€“] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 8 points 20 hours ago

You'll never remember why you stayed on at work instead of being with your children, but you'll remember what you missed

[โ€“] jtrek@startrek.website 17 points 1 day ago

LinkedIn should just be a big honey pot to get people into therapy and community service.

I'm going to change the world by staring at Excel spreadsheets 24 hours a day. Who needs a family when you have Power Query and Pivot Tables?

[โ€“] SpicyLizards@reddthat.com 10 points 1 day ago

Just fucking die on the job, your a loser if you don't. Fuck your family, must lick the ceos boots.

Such a toxic lie

'Eva died of a heart attack surrounded by no one'

[โ€“] DakRalter@thelemmy.club 2 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago)
[โ€“] Pennywise@quokk.au 6 points 1 day ago

Fun fact. Eva remained on a conference call while going into labor after hiding her pregnancy.

[โ€“] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

bet their kids love 'em.

you know, the two, three times a year when they spend time together lol
