I'm playing star trucker right now so I'd be golden. Just one year of hauling cargo, customizing my rig and doing the occasional EVA to salvage expensive jetsam. Where do I sign?

Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
Ah, you're fine. The last game I played was Warframe. I am proper fucked.
Social Democracy: an alternate history, so depends on if I can change things or if I have to live through otl
I know I shouldn't say that loud... I'm bit rich in cute hentai game. Now all on Palapagos know I'm horny.
Just one year in Stellaris?
Hmm... my empire, or someone else's?
Stuck in a medieval post-apocalyptic North America. Not good. (CK3 After the End mod)
i wouldn’t consider that to be too terrible. It’s beautiful and you can entertain yourself nearly endlessly outside of the narrative.
Unfortunately for me I last played 76 to see what had changed. And I’d definitely go mad since i’ve basically done and seen it all outside of some builds i want to try.

I get your point, but you're overlooking the fact that you'd have to be extremely skilled and self sufficient by modern standards to be able to survive in the 1800s for a year without any modern comforts and technology..
I for one would die or go insane in a few months, I think. Either that or thrive so much that I'll never want to go back 🤷🏻😁
Oh yeah, when you put it that way… I do have some survival skills from growing up in the country, but the culture is what’d probably do me in. I’d misunderstand someone and get waxed pretty fast most likely.
Palia! I'd gladly live there for even longer!
Last game I played is Hitman, so as long as I’m not a target, enforcer, in 47’s way, or in the world of a kill everyone run, I think I’d do just fine. I guess it depends on the map, but it’s mostly just the real world. So not much change I don’t think. If I can choose which map and my reason for being there I might not wanna go back actually.
This is all assuming I can explain it to my family. I’m not sure I actually wanna miss a year of my baby’s life, so in actuality I would never do it, but if I had to do it, I think I’d do just fine.
I'm screwed, Super earth is calling. I can't not pick up the phone (Helldivers 2) (regardless of what role I'm in even not as diver but a civie I'm screwed)
Took a pause from Helldivers 2 (wouldn't have lasted 10min) to play a Librarian "organize thousands of books" casual game.
I could live quite nicely.
Celeste
Do I have to climb the mountain? Can I respawn? Can I dash? So many questions... I would love to parkour around if I didn't die. But most of my time would probably be spent just living in a cabin or something.
God of War (2018). Fimbrulwinter hasn't started yet, and he stays away from populated areas. So long as I don't do anything to piss off the Odin and his kin I should be fine
The world of Limbus Company. Hm.
This is fine 👍
Depends if I play as my character or myself.
Baldur's Gate 3 as my character would be great, his stats are high, he's rich, he's hopelessly in love
Baldur's Gate 3 as myself, I would die, almost immediately, possibly on my way out of camp while tripping and hitting my head on a rock
Darkest Dungeon. Uhm. No thanks!
Planet coaster 2
So, pretty fun!
the monkey paw curls and you end up as a regular guest in a playthrough by someone who tortures all their guests using flamethrowers, fireworks, electric zapping, and crashing things into you.
Played through the Simpsons arcade with friends. So I guess could be better could be worse.
Disco Elysium. I think I'll be okay, it's just going to be a miserable year.
The Sims… I guess depending on who’s playing it could be good or bad
Beyond All Reason: statistically i’ll spawn as a tick and live a short life of probing enemy defenses with single-file human wave tactics.
CloverPit
Crap
There's many different ways it could go, hopefully I don't get deep space dementia or get attacked by giant alien spiders while I'm there
Pathogenic. I'm fucked.
Juno new origins
probably gonna end up being killed in an accident but at least I can fly some sick rockets
Fire Emblem Awakening doesn't seem too bad a place to take a vacation.
Dwarf fortress lol. I think if I did not have a family I could go there for free for a year. Benefits: I can get some cool skills relatively fast and they seem to be having a jolly good time in the Inn.
Life in Sanctuary is rough, especially after the destruction of the Worldstone. I've been staying in Westmarch, which should be pretty safe until my year is up.
I tried learning magic, but it only seems to work for people born here, so I'm working as a blacksmith. I'm the greatest metallurgist in the world and have "invented" the steam hammer. They don't have potatoes but the food is otherwise decent.
But not a day goes by that I don't regret this decision. I didn't have a chance to tell my wife and kids where I was going... they probably think I'm either dead or left them. My job and likely my home will be gone. My dad might be gone too. Don't get me wrong, a million dollars is a lot of money. But I already had a good life and fear I may have wrecked it.
I think I may have accidentally brought corona with me here. No need to tell anyone about that one. I just hope nothing comes back home with me.
ignoring pinball, i think mindustry would be fun even if i die a lot :3
