I've read that certain GLPs used for weight loss can also cause a distaste for alcohol. Someone that had been a somewhat regular drinker was interviewed saying they suddenly found that they didn't like the taste anymore and stopped drinking alcoholic beverages.
Not gonna say that's the whole cause of course, but it may be a contributing factor.
And same face for younger generation when they have difficulties meeting people and building relationships with colleagues etc.
