The other word the "journalist" forgot was "murdered".

ICE murdered an innocent man.

Unlawful presence is not a crime at all - it's a civil immigration violation.

If someone overstayed a visa (about 40% of undocumented people), they never committed any crime
Unlawful presence = civil matter handled in immigration court, not criminal court
No criminal penalties, just deportation/removal

Being in the U.S. without valid legal status is a civil offense. It's not criminal.

Are you just ignorant of the law or are you purposefully spreading false information?
