pfff... they both look like high schoolers from the 1950's.
Water, sunscreen. I feel like it was more common in the past to cast a far older person than the age of the character they were playing too on screen. There is also makeup, style choices and clothes that can influence a view quite a bit.

less people smoke and drink. drug use also peaked in the 90s, and has been steadily declining since.
High key, Pantera has great music.
The opening to Cowboys from Hell sounds like when my air conditioner's motor run capacitor started leaking and the motor would kinda ramp up at first and then just get stuck semi-stalling.
