Thats just like the first issue of BLAME! where Killy, the main character, is insensitive to the death of a child.
Tbf, it's not like the child, or anyone in the entire run of the entire series, is human.

I am not genZ but I gave up on live action movies because I dislike them. Well I dislike movies in general but especially the live action
