Digging up the bones of an ancient mp3 player (again) to try to wring more money out of it simply because you own the rights isn't a "comeback". This really doesn't whip the llama's ass. ☹️

It's just this again.
These guys seem to pop their heads up once a year. Last time they were putting NFT's into Winamp. Just let it die.
I'm not sure what this even means. what they gonna do ? Start own streaming platform? With all rented content ?
Translation: Winamp will be ruined by corporate greed in 2027.
Jokes on them. I never stopped using Winamp. 5.8 baby. With some of that ooey gooey milkdrop goodness. Sooooo good.
Can vibecode a winamp-clone in like 5 hours & the resulting app would never try to monetize me. Of course I don't have to because Foobar -or rather Fooyin on Linux- is better than Winamp ever were..
It's coming back with a monthly subscription.
All I want is a simple, nostalgic media player.
That isn't 'coming back'. Thats 'we have the rights to the name,,so let's launch a new program with the same name to get free clout and easy money'.
