Authoritarianism. It has no strong preference for left or right. Wherever there's a strong man. You will have the people that think the strong man protects them and serves them. Even as he serves himself. And the people who are being tread on.
The concept of "authoritarianism" is gibberish, that's why it can be applied to the left and right. All states are authoritarian.
Unless you're an anarchist, you're an authoritarian too. You just think your authority is legitimate and fair and righteous.

To have cognitive dissonance there has to be some semblance of cognition. They can follow all these conflicting beliefs because there has been zero thought put in to it, literally zero. Nobody has forced them to engage their brain so it's an atrophied reactionary toddler level turd living between their ears.
Capitalist libertarians have always truly been fascists. Their entire ideology is rooted in Social Darwinism.
If there was a god or higher being, especially karma or universal reciprocity, the first people to die because of social Darwinism would be the ones propagating social Darwinism.
