The feminine form is Draca.

[–] ThunderComplex@lemmy.today 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

So the parents have a child, it's a girl, and they decide to name her Draco??

In Harry Potter we got mfs named Beezleman Wartbottle and you trip over a chick named Draco?

[–] ThunderComplex@lemmy.today 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I don't know much about HP so yeah, a girl named Draco does trip me up.

[–] MutantTailThing@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago

Isn't Harry Potter set in a high school? This is gross.

I think it depends on when you got introduced to Harry Potter. It's fine for kids reading YA to be invested in high school romances. It's also fine to take those opinions into adulthood as long as you're not real weird about it.

It's also just generally okay for people to read about teen romance or ask "what if" about those childhood properties, and, quite frankly, you're a puritan weirdo if you think that puberty and the development of those romantic and sexual interests is a taboo topic to write about.

Usually, anyways. I read some things when I was younger that definitely makes adult me want to throw certain actual published authors in prison.

I accept a lot of that. But that slice of humanity benefits from a sensitivity that I'm not really seeing here.

Gross, but accurate.

Isn't Harry Potter (horribly) written by a narcissist TERF racist hack? The whole thing is gross.

I'm sorry Potterheads, but your attempts to frame it as art over artist is only a worse look.
