Unlike the raid on John Bolton, the targeting of Omar has elicited zero condemnation from NYT, WSJ, and Washington Post.

The media has been bought and paid for by the Republican billionaire donors. There is no elite media. There is no balanced or fair media.

And there is no one from the Democratic Party that will come to help either. She is being made an example of as a warning.

It’s the other trend of notice Democrats don’t typically support each other or come to each other’s aid, Unlike Republicans who flock together.

Well, Israeli honeypot operations, be it Epstein or whatnot, would naturally target media elites. The FBI and CIA would've had to be complicit if not active conspirators in a violation of their duties as well.

One wonders how many of those extraordinarily high numbers of suicides in law enforcement were due to people trying to call this kind of thing out.

only the commie/islamist/DSA media can save us now

the Epstien/consultant/AIPAC/donor/Jew media has failed us

the Dems will not be able to win otherwise lol

[–] CalemitousVariantK@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The media has been captured by right wing activist billionaires. At best you get centrists not complying with the narrative. We need to break up media monopolies and stop allowing mergers.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Its not just news media being captured by right wing billionaires.

its also news media just being gunshy and overtly submissive and differential towards conservatives and conservatism in general, because they want right wingers to keep coming on their shows and doing interviews, and they know the Republican Apparatus will completely shut them out, While democrats will take whatever they throw and keep coming on the show.

And they've been this long before Trump and the systematized weaponization of government.

[–] likebudda@reddthat.com 4 points 1 day ago

Those idiots covering it would give these fantastical inventions unwarranted credibility.

Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leadership helped pave the way for this islamophobic, racists, anti-feminist attack on Ilhan Omar. Nancy Pelosi claimed Ilhan Omar anti-semetic, when Omar criticized AIPAC and their outsized role in US elections. That was a multi-week news cycle liberals will almost certainly have memory holed by this time. Democratic leadership floated an effort to censure and paved the way for this attack, and to normalize these kinds of attacks of women in power, of brown people in power, of immigrants in power.

Liberals pave the ground for the role out of fascism.

[–] bantering@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They only exist to hold your hand and tell you it’s okay as they pull us further down with their friends from across the aisle.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

I'm just tired of being told by liberals who want to wash their hands that their politics play no role in this.

You don't get fascism without liberal parties playing nice with fascists. Normally this is when I'd call ol boy @PugJesus@piefed.social in to back me up with the historical context, because we already went through and dealt with this.

Fascism doesn't happen when you have a lib or socdem party who resists it at any cost. Fascism happens when, over time, the corporate party thinks they can place nice with the fascist party. The libs end up focusing on sabatoging the socialist parties because they see fascists as better partners to capital. And inevitably the libs get run over once the fascist have been allowed to cultivate enough power.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The natural end of capitalism is fascism.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It can't end any other way.

[–] Radical_Socialist_t00t@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It can, you're just too brainwashed by uncle sam's education system to be able to see it.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So you're a radical socialist arguing for capitalism. Got it. I'm not sure I can roll my eyes any harder...

[–] KeithD@lemmy.nz 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's an interesting misstatement of his point. He's a radical socialist arguing that capitalism can naturally end a different way than fascism. That's not exactly arguing for capitalism.

ITT: multiple americans that could not comprehend this from reading. I don't think school failed them, they were not paying attention and failed themselves.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Jeffries and a few other Dem Reps did put out a statement defending her (arc). They could and should be doing more interviews and posts and keeping the focus on this , and they're extremely suceptible to the kind of ground paving behavior you're describing, but I think some of them actually have learned something from the 2024 election and have improved a tiny bit.

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

"Palpatine is targeting Mon Mothma. Where's the stormtrooper outrage?"

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

First they came for...

[–] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 31 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Americans are on their own. Midterms are make or break. We have to save us from the pedophile king. If you are maga and reading this you are a traitor to the constitution and a pedophile by proxy. Dumb fucks.

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

If those MAGA voters could read they would be very angry

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

A lot of them are more than proxies

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Same with the purity ponies sitting out or voting third party, and, even worse, trying to encourage others to do the same. You know, because of their moral superiority.

They are traitors and basically supporting pedophilia, genocide, mass deportation, etc., by proxy.

Weaponizing federal agencies against political enemies should bother fucking everyone!

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 1 points 20 hours ago

As should the fact that our federal agencies are often themselves corrupted by foreign intelligence, ie, Israel. Once they get the fbi and cia, then they could do epstein type stuff, and that's just the one we know about.

And owners of the news would be prime targets for honeypots.

[–] heartSagan5@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Yup, this creates political prisoners real fast.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

The elite media is the Murc's Law Media. The will contort themselves into some real galaxy-brained think-pieces about how it's the Democrats' fault that Republicans are terrible. Or some equivalence between this and how so many conservatives have been "cancelled".

Even though I don't think any conservatives ever really get cancelled. Certainly none of them have been thrown out of the country, even the most traitorous ones.

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 10 points 1 day ago

They weren't told to.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We need to be targeting conservatives.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 day ago

Welcome to our dictatorship.

Bend over and try to relax.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

no outrage, and they'll all have faked surprise and horror on their faces when they get sent to report on the 2026 riots in minneapolis and the aftermath of the army coming in and leveling the city.

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

lol the obvious troll in this thread
