Very cool. I was looking forward to something like this coming into existence or else I might have done it (probably with worse UI/UX than you did :D ).
And I'm glad to see that Mbin is still included in the list of major threadiverse platforms.

FYI sending a code for login seems not to work for fedia.io. Login via code in my profile works.
Nice! Curious also about PyLova.
At this point isn't it just piefed with a "feature" or two stripped or reworked?
It’s got many new features, to the point PieFed is playing catchup with its latest releases to try and match what we’re offering.
Is that so? I suppose if anyone might know it would be you. I've given some thought to running a small local instance. May have to take a look later.
One day I’ll surely work some more on the website to advertise its offerings.
If you ever need help setting one up to have a play let me know!
Hah you weren't kidding. Just looked at the org. SSL cert issue and 2 lines of text. SSL certs can definitely be a pain. And I haven't designed a website myself in nearly 20 years realistically. Last one I did was for a project related to a tool using the old xiph.org vorbis tools long long ago. Simple and tight to not take forever even over dialup as broaband was still pretty new.
Will have to dig through the read mes later. Sort out database needs.
No idea, thats why it would be good to see a comparison.
Maybe it’s because I’m on mobile right now, but it looks like a lot of the descriptions are cut off without any way to expand it. Assuming that texts ending in ”…” is supposed to continue.
I will improve the mobile layout, sorry about that!
Very nice!
I've submitted some updates to the features.
This list of features is microblogging-centered. Some things like boosts and mastodon make no sense for the threadiverse. And some things which should be there to compare, aren't.
You can suggest new questions that are limited to specific segments like Forums and link aggregators
But can you suggest to remove existing questions?
But Mbin can do some microblogging things. It's what distinguishes it from other threadiverse software. I think it makes sense to include if one of the three supports it, no?
I mean I love Mbin but it's kindve the odd child out here. We should really have a section for Threadiverse and for Microblog
but it's kindve the odd child out here
sad Mbin dev noises (or maybe odd as in special, then happy Mbin dev noises)
there's a filter to show "only differences" which I think is a good way to do these comparisons, since some Threadiverse software could have microblogging-centered features like Mbin does
A feature that Piefed has that I wish Lemmy would implement too is URL filters; perhaps it could be added to the chart after 'word filters'?
Arctic has a great frontend implementation of it with Regex support, but the app hasn't been updated in a while.
Also, for simplicity perhaps the tables should have the more advanced information implemented with a visibility toggle? All of the information listed may overwhelm new users and leave an impression that the Fediverse is particularly complex.

Yea the features are already grouped, I think they could be collapsed by default and just show the number of features supported for each of the groups, and then you can expand
That is cool. Would it also be possible to search for software that has a desired feature?
Freaking great! Thank you!
I don't get it, this just looks like you're trying to shoehorn discussion board type software into a comparison tool for microblogging
