[–] remon@ani.social 11 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Can I eat all 4 for $4 million?

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 3 points 51 minutes ago

Asking the right questions.

[–] cloudshouter@lemmy.zip 3 points 58 minutes ago

I don’t think you understand how much a million dollars is. I’d eat any of those for much less.

[–] jpablo68@infosec.pub 3 points 1 hour ago

can I put some lime on the onion?

[–] Fleece@feddit.uk 9 points 1 hour ago

Century egg, hands down. Onion's a good second though.

[–] bertlewirth@lemy.lol 29 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

Ah, they never said whether we can cook them or not. So I’m taking some sautéed onions on a bbq

[–] neidu4@piefed.social 2 points 39 minutes ago

Same. Hell, I wouldn't mind eating it raw; I like onion, but a whole one at once might be a bit much, so if I can spread it over a couple of hours then it's easy enough.

[–] CapuccinoCoretto@lemmy.world 17 points 2 hours ago

Combine all 4 and you have a nice spicy dish.

Thanks for the cool $4 milion. Easiest money ever made.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 2 points 58 minutes ago

Four onions and I'm full.

[–] gray@lemmy.ml 11 points 3 hours ago (5 children)

The egg is better than it looks

[–] Meatwagon@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 52 minutes ago (1 children)

From the wiki description it has ammonia in it though??

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 3 points 50 minutes ago (1 children)

So do you.

Are you delicious, Meatwagon?

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 1 points 37 minutes ago

Depends on how you cook....

[–] whaleross@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

Aren't we all

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 5 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

I was trying to figure out why an avocado would look like that so thanks for clearing it up.

[–] mbp@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 hour ago

I couldn't stomach a few bites of it. I don't even consider myself particularly picky

[–] DearMoogle@piefed.social 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

I’d eat it for free with soy sauce lol

For those curious, they’re preserved eggs, often sold at Asian groceries. You might also find them in the form of an appetizer at an authentic Chinese restaurant

This post was made by an extra terrestrial species to gather info how many humans would eat its offspring.

The question is at which % they deem humanity hostile and will destroy earth star destroyer fashion.

Im doing my part and would eat the alien egg 🫡

For anyone wondering if real piss is involved, this is from the Wiki:

There is a misconception that century eggs are prepared by soaking eggs in horse urine, but this is not true. In Thai and Lao, the common word for century egg translates to "horse urine egg", due to this misconception or due to the eggs' ammonia odor:

Thai: ไข่เยี่ยวม้า [kʰàj jîaw máː] (RTGS: khai yiao ma)

Lao: ໄຂ່ຍ່ຽວມ້າ [kʰāj ɲīaw mâː]

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 hour ago

Can I peel the onion?

[–] Nokkelost@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

That was fucking easy, I’d eat the raw onion. Second choice is probably the caterpillar, risk here being that I might puke while doing it, but worth a shot. Third is the chilli.

I have no idea what that black egg is and I’m not fucking with whatever that is.

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 3 points 1 hour ago

That's.... not a caterpillar. That's the larvae/maggot of the common cockchafer, as far as I can tell. Otherwise known as Maybug.

The black egg is century egg, a duck or chicken egg preserved in an alkaline solution (usually quicklime, ash, salt and rice hulls). It's not horrible in the way, say, surströmming is, but it an unusual taste and texture that makes most people balk at the idea. Honestly, I'd pick it over even the onion.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 3 points 1 hour ago

The black egg is a preserved, maybe duck, egg, and they are quite yummy.

[–] cAUzapNEAGLb@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Im not following any trend from the botfarm site

Its from reddit, an old website that has since lost its userbase and authenticity, replaced by both commercial and political psyops. I view most things sourced from that website as malicious or harmful.

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 5 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Nice, 3 million for me. Might try the pepper, after I've had the other three, just to see what it's like.

[–] LORDSMEGMA@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 3 points 2 hours ago

Don't know yet, haven't had it.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 3 points 2 hours ago

Two good choices... I don't know if I should go with the grub or the century egg... 🤔
