This is my belief as well.
My mother fell deep into the qanon bullshit hole. I was very surprised to find her pro-Palestine, but realised that a big part is likely just antisemitism.
It’s always just been lip service when it comes to her.

Tragic but much better than what we had before. At least some aid is allowed to trickle in now and much less violence is going on.
But back to my point, if you ask some immigrants on their politics, even illegal immigrants, they'll tell you that they're staunch conservatives. I'm not saying all of them are, just that there are a shocking number of them. Anecdotally, I know of 3 undocumented individuals and 2/3 are conservatives who believe in building the border wall.
