They should follow CUPE's playbook from the 2023 strike in Ontario, affirmed by the Air Canada strike this year. Run a vote on continuing the strike. If the membership approves, go wildcat strike. Ask for solidarity strikes from other unions. Danielle wouldn't want to be seen bankrupting or jailing teachers.

You think she'd go there? Ford balked. I'd think the backlash this would create among the public is what could made him reconsider. Maybe that wouldn't work on her idk. 😄

Most Albertans are behind the teachers. There are a lot of angry voters right now across the province, and Smith is using up her capital rapidly.

There may be a protest tomorrow, I'm waiting to see.

The UCP is planning to use the non-withstanding clause to do this. Threatening to charge them $500 individually per day, the union $100k per day.
