I feel like over the past few years how we used bait has changed. I would call this satire or a joke, not bait. I'm not saying you're wrong for calling it possible bait, but it's just interesting. Or maybe the average conservative is just that bad that bait targeting them doubles as satire for me.

I don't get the whole masochism thing. Like I like a hot powerful woman in skimpy shiny clothes and boots, that I won't argue.

It's because you have a healthier brain. some of us have our wires crossed in such a way that a lil bit of getting hurt actually feels sexy. Most masochism isn't getting full-on tortured though, a lot of it is more sharp, quick pains like smacks or whips or bites. Obv there are more extreme cases, and you can kinda think of those as the wires getting really crossed.
There isn't anything unhealthy about it as long as you indulge it in a healthy way.

You're confusing a societal concept of health for a biological one. Generally speaking, we classify any brain that does not function as expected as abnormal. However, you wouldn't necessarily define that person as "sick" or "unwell," in the same way that you wouldn't call someone with synesthesia or without a visio-spatial sketchpad "sick." It's just not functioning as expected.
People eating spicy food is actually different, because there can be a couple different reasons for it. If it's a case of receptors misfiring and indicating pleasure instead of pain, then yes they'd have unhealthy brains. I think typically spice enthusiasts have abnormal tongues though. Usually their receptors have dulled either due to repeated exposure to spice, genetic differences at birth, or external factors like coal dust.
Pain releases endorphins. It isn't for everybody, though. If you don't get it, then it isn't for you. There are tons and tons of fetishes out there that most of us aren't going to understand.
