Would white collar jobs also have leather doms or is it just physical labour ones?

Asking for a friend

[–] applebusch@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 month ago

Hot dommy mommy who dresses slutty as hell every day giving clear unambiguous work assignments and strong motivated overall direction, while frequently providing direct positive and negative feedback? I'd write any kind of software for a boss like that.

Might be time for a career change. I hope I saved enough at my cushy tech job...

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 4 points 1 month ago

Too late for some of us. Something awoke in us.

I'd hate to be called a liberal, but if it gets me to that camp I guess I'll accept it

[–] KingThrillgore@lemmy.ml 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yes, yes it is

And it is beautiful

I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day, and there's finally something to agree with libs on!

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 35 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just remember: It’s always projection.

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I keep thinking, "what's going through his mind?" The entire time.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Right? I mean, the libs would be fine if such an event like this were to happen safely and consensually, limited to the willing. But the artist thinks, what…? Paints a picture of non-consensual mass bondage? How the heck would that even work?

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 30 points 1 month ago

Yeah, he wants a leather daddy.

[–] stinerman@midwest.social 27 points 1 month ago

Once again being threatened with a good time.

[–] tgirlschierke@lemmy.blahaj.zone 26 points 1 month ago (5 children)

this has a 50% chance of being bait, but i do think it's funny whenever someone's dystopia is clearly just their fetish. like that time jordan peterson posted medfet porn and labelled it with scaremongering about the CCP

[–] Bane_Killgrind@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 month ago

Doth protest to specifically is absolutely a red flag

[–] __Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 month ago

Bait or 'bate?

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 4 points 1 month ago

I feel like over the past few years how we used bait has changed. I would call this satire or a joke, not bait. I'm not saying you're wrong for calling it possible bait, but it's just interesting. Or maybe the average conservative is just that bad that bait targeting them doubles as satire for me.

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

Like those cartoons of AOC counting tribute money from Jeff Bezos

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 3 points 1 month ago

Bait or not, it was wroth the share.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

I don't get the whole masochism thing. Like I like a hot powerful woman in skimpy shiny clothes and boots, that I won't argue.

But getting hurt, well, hurts.

[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's because you have a healthier brain. some of us have our wires crossed in such a way that a lil bit of getting hurt actually feels sexy. Most masochism isn't getting full-on tortured though, a lot of it is more sharp, quick pains like smacks or whips or bites. Obv there are more extreme cases, and you can kinda think of those as the wires getting really crossed.

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

There isn't anything unhealthy about it as long as you indulge it in a healthy way.

Spicy hot food is also painful. Does that mean that people who enjoy eating habaneros, Scotch bonnet, etc. have unhealthy brains?

Wait. On second thought, don't answer that.

[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago

You're confusing a societal concept of health for a biological one. Generally speaking, we classify any brain that does not function as expected as abnormal. However, you wouldn't necessarily define that person as "sick" or "unwell," in the same way that you wouldn't call someone with synesthesia or without a visio-spatial sketchpad "sick." It's just not functioning as expected.

People eating spicy food is actually different, because there can be a couple different reasons for it. If it's a case of receptors misfiring and indicating pleasure instead of pain, then yes they'd have unhealthy brains. I think typically spice enthusiasts have abnormal tongues though. Usually their receptors have dulled either due to repeated exposure to spice, genetic differences at birth, or external factors like coal dust.

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

Pain releases endorphins. It isn't for everybody, though. If you don't get it, then it isn't for you. There are tons and tons of fetishes out there that most of us aren't going to understand.

Hopefully not an open pit mine, they're terrible for the environment. But otherwise, yes, and I would absolutely wish it on my worst enemy. GDP would go through the roof until the novelty of BDSM in the workplace wore off. xD
