I don't accept it. But wtf can I do about it? Other than abandon every platform that asks for ID. But I have already done that. Which is why I am here.

My government are pushing for this stuff though.
Which is why I am here now instead of on reddit where I got fed up of being asked to submit for facial and ID scans. Fuck that! I have seen some of my comments online, there is no way I want my ID permanently attached to that.
The moment you mention anything that could help you get people suddenly pretending that they give a shit about the poor.
Here is a random idea though. x10 energy fees with the first 6000kWh of electricity free (or very cheap) per year. No reductions for gas and oil. The poor were already not using much energy, if you actually care about them, this will actually reduce their energy bills.
Its hardly a new model either, phone data works the same kind of way, just monthly rather than annually.
Maybe, but I have limited space and don't really want to work more hours just to pay for more space to store things. I could use that time to ride my bike to the beach instead.
I was just thinking the same, he doesn't have to put 100% of his effort in. Just 1% more than yours.
I could but its already a pretty good bike. Got some nice tyres and pannier bags for it recently, probably getting close to the point of accessories costing more than the bike.
A small bag for phone and keys could be a nice thing to get next. Also slowly acquiring more bike maintenance tools too.
Its really mixed tbh. Some make sense others cost a lot.
My commute: cycle down an old railway line, occasionally going through a tree tunnel.
Not sure how a car loan would give me any freedom I don't already have.
