My worry was less with servers and more with interest, much like how some torrents are dead because there are zero seeds. I suppose the author of projects might remain as the sole seed for a longer period than the mirror seeds, but there are many that can be abandoned by the single dev for whatever reason

Don't kid yourself, USA armed forces is full of similars. This waffen might get a promotion for being so openly nazi
Interesting. Sounds like a Freenet solution, but with git in mind.
P2P proves yet again to be the best solution for availability problems. At least until the seeds disappear, which happens because storage isn't infinite.
Who is even copiloting this?
Meanwhile, when novels do have a relatively large fanbase, boy, better stay away from them
Reminds me of my time in facebook, back when the far right rhetoric was taking form, everything, and I mean everything, was blamed on "the communists". Poor wages? Bad economy? All because the communist president fucked you over for his own gain.
I also experienced a similar, RL comment last month with a coworker. "This politician woman claims to be communist but she's walking around with a super expensive handbag!" - It boiled down to seeing communists as hypocrites because they spend money and buy things instead of "sharing everything". Kinda hard to be socialist/communist as an isolated individual living within a capitalistic society. Said coworker said he wouldn't mind the excessive expense on a frivolous accessory if the politician wasn't "a communist" because "meritocracy".

As someone who looks for 3d models to print once in a while, I can confirm that the vast majority of slopped models are a fucking mess. The artifacts and lack of precision can be more or less handwaved away in 2D images, but in a 3D model that shit looks atrocious. Sure, the render may look lovely, but printed stuff doesn't need textures, which is where all the flaws become apparent.
Not to mention that "low poly" slopped models are likely to have over 100k vertices.
