Just from what's going on where I'm working: almost everyone is fine with it. "oh, our main innovation guy is retiring, can he not feed a chatbot?"
Or "oh yes, this is relevant for legal concerns, here's the LLM output"
Or "we'll feed a new LLM with all the 3d models the company has ever made and thus will finally make mechanical engineering open to everyone" (of course, same thing for electrical engineers and software engineers)
And I could probably give examples for pages to come..
Yup, they are all doing this with open eyes and not a hint of a thought about the consequences to the company, their own, their potential children or the damn planet.
