Worst hero's journey ever.
Not let Republicans have any power by voting.
I must have missed the part where conservatives didn't have any power for the past 200 years because people were voting.
And in 200 more years people can say the same shit, while still choosing between two far right parties where one is a bit less evil and a bit slower in making shit worse, but we better not try a third option yet then either, or the more evil, worse faster party might win.
Dems/Repubs will happily play hot potato together forever, which they will if there is no third option, which there won't be if we maintain this perspective, and it will all continue dragging itself and all of us further and further right.
Solution is to abolish first-past-the-post first. Not to ignore mathematics and pretend reality does not exist.
Which neither a Dem or Repub will ever allow, and since you are convinced those are currently the only two options, it means they will remain the only two options indefinitely.
The only way that happens is with a third option, otherwise dems and repubs will be happy to keep playing hotpotato literally until the end of time.
God I wish we had ranked choice voting so much.
