The USA has almost as many miles of railroad as the entire rest of the world. They’re just mostly freight trains. We’re not into passenger rail.

The USA has the largest rail network in the world, although the customer service and schedules leave something to be desired.

Was it really that innovative? It was just myspace for college students

IMO it’s almost worse than if G+ flopped completely. Google+ was actually awesome for the specific world of smalltime pen and paper RPGs. But of course, that one creative community of people designing & publishing cool stuff wasn’t enough to justify its cost, or challenge Facebook for supremacy, so they pulled the plug even though plenty of people were still using it. Just a waste.

Not particularly, but I imagine it was just weird as hell haha

Cheaper than a large popcorn at the theater 😂

Right? Imagine if all of the money spent "building out" the metaverse had been invested in improving infrastructure in real life...

Imagine like four or five of us sitting in the front row of a crowded theater, chowing down on rotisserie chickens with our bare hands.

In retrospect I feel so bad for the people sitting near us 😂

In high school my one friend had a big trench coat, and we would use it to sneak rotisserie chickens into the movie theater.

This wouldn't surprise me at all, tbh. My uncle (first son) is way taller than my dad (second son) because back in the day my family didn't have much money, and they prioritized feeding the oldest son. Same genetics, different childhood diet. Uncle is like 6'2", my dad is like 5'6". If there had been a girl sibling involved, she probably would have gotten even less food.
