States like missouri. Outside our two Urban cores. There are plenty of counties and towns where Democrats are never on the ballot. And it's not for lack of people capable of filling the jobs. Even on the outskirts of Kansas City here, it is not unusual to see Republicans running unopposed. Democrats honestly just stopped trying or caring. And so did a lot of low information voters here. Yes voting for Republicans absolutely is voting against their interests most of the time. But Republicans are the only ones that show up or seem to care.
Part of that is the copious funding through fashy bourgeoisie. Democrats don't have a similar benefactor. Instead actually getting a lot of their donations from small donors. But the national party is so selfish and detached. Most of that money never sees a red state.
They definitely do. The liberal leaning, "just give me some stability will ya" bourgeoisie tend to give democrats copious amounts of money. I mean hell, they spent a billion dollars on the 2024 presidential election.
I should have been more specific. They don't buy them television stations, newspapers etc etc etc. Air america, the closest thing they ever had went belly up because no one listened. And what most conservatives slur as msdnc. Is a solidly right wing Channel. More likely to actually hurt a good candidate and then help.
The money Democrats take in every 4 years, is chump change. Republicans and their allies spend that much or more every year.
