I assume we're not going to have elections this year because "bad people". But if we do have a real Congressional election, I would encourage you to vote for anything or anyone other than the MAGA Republican garbage.
I don't care if your a Green, Liberal, Anarchist, Satanist, Leftist, Libertarian or otherwise, the MAGA Republicans have shown their true colors. They read Bible verses from their positions of power, to military leaders. Important new trends are emerging all the same time. We live in a special moment in history.
And it is ultimately our responsibility to transform the whole thing into something silly. Love, Light and Language are our signatures and tools.

P.S. - We might disagree on choices but roughly 95% - 98% of us are on the same team. The other 2% - 5% are among the most dangerous humans who have ever lived. That's a fact.
Both times the problem wasn't voters were overconfident though...
Both times voters just didn't like the Dem candidates, and the Dem candidates operated under the assumption they were safe enough to just scream at anyone who wasn't 100% positive about two candidates with zero combined charisma and far to the right of their own voter bases
You can't just order voters to fake enthusiasm.
If you want enthusiastic voters you have to let them have a candidate they like.
Which is why last year the DNC appointed a chair who will let fair primaries happen again...
Anyone who looked at the two options and "wasnt inspired enough to vote" doesnt think Trump is that bad.
Agree, but then by not voting they allowed the worse of the two to get in.
People don't vote that way. Nor should they.
They will vote for a candidate who listens to them and is willing to fight for them. They'll vote for somebody who addresses their concerns and will get them what they need. This is Politics 101.

This is the kind of behavior Dem voters need to watch out for moving into the midterms; people that just say anything to depress turnout in the next dem primary using the same tired old neoliberal strategies.
Most people doing it are just willing to let Republicans win so neoliberals have a chance to take back the dnc.
