Man, sunk cost fallacy is really running rampant in silicon valley.

It's not sunk cost fallacy at all. They see this as well worth the investment. They're making people put time into training their AI models. People are basically training the clueless intern who will take their job entirely soon. AI is done with training on all material that exists online. Now you have to force people to engage with it to give it more training.
