If you think you can't vote for a Democrat, remember that Trump has named the Dems as his greatest enemy.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Yes, but leave it to liberal voters to find a reason to hand Trump MORE power, because they "can't vote for someone that isn't perfect for whatever vapid reason they cough up thos week." Liberal voters gave this country to Trump because they couldn't hold their noses and push the button for Harris. They'll find a reason to give Texas to the Repugnantcans... probably because Talarico is "too religious" - even though he's one of the few Christians in America that follows Jesus' actual teachings rather than slobbing the holy knob like Repugnantcans do with their back-asswards religious behavior. If Trump isn't brought to rein in November, we won't have a country left to hold elections in 2028. He'll gut the election system just like he's already trying to do. If the Dems let him... no, you know what... I'm going to speak truth... WHEN the Dems let him (he's threatening to keep everything shutdown again if they don't let him disenfranchise voters), this country will hear the death knell. It'll take another decade maybe, but it will die. The Repugnantcans will drive in the knife. The Dems will make sure to hold a light for them so they can make sure they hit an artery.
There’s some truth to what you say, but the labels are a little off. The ones who didn’t vote for Harris don’t call themselves “liberals”, and they’re certainly not Dems. They are the far left, or Tankies, and they hate liberals. These days, they are one-issue voters on the issue of Israel-Gaza, and they only ascribe agency to the Democrats, who they blame for everything while pretty much ignoring the country’s fascist slide under then GOP. They wouldn’t vote for Talarico or Crockett.
...
There are not, never have been, and never will be enough "tankie" American voters to ever be statistically relevant in any major election, especially presidential...
Harris lost because she couldnt get enough of the ~30% of eligible voters that never vote off their asses.
In large parts due to having zero natural charisma, and a policy platform to the right of what the average voter wanted, but not as far right as trump.
Under those conditions a loss is virtually guaranteed, which is why just a few months after that the voting members of the DNC pivoted away from the neoliberals who shoved her down America's throats and gave the DNC to probably the least biased state chair in modern history.
Like, the people you're blaming just aren't enough people to matter, regardless of who they voted for or if they voted.
For sure, there aren’t enough proper tankies to make a difference, but the Gaza issue became so mainstream, there may well have been a critical mass of one-issue voters to throw the election. These people (most of them probably fairly young) may not have an opinion one way or the other on China, but they believe the same far left propaganda about “both sides” being equally bad.
Buddy...
If you removed the straw that broke the camels back, it would still buckle under the weight seconds later.
One straw isn't enough, if Biden/Harris had been perfect except for Gaza, they'd have won easily
And if changed on just Gaza, there'd be a different "single issue" being blamed.
Biden/Harris were uncharismatic and to the right of the average American voter, but obviously not far enough right to get trump voters.
It was a piss poor strategy and that's why the DNC pivoted so hard last year in their chair election.
You're so late to understanding this issue, you missed that we solved it a year ago.
But you're still so confident despite that ignorance
Why not ask questions?
Ironic that you chide me for being ignorant and having unwarranted confidence in my opinion, when twice you’ve claimed that the average American voter is to the left of mainstream Democratic pols. That is one of the dumbest theories I’ve heard in a while.
She came out for fracking...
For tougher border policy than trump/Biden were doing...
She said Biden had done enough for student loans and shed maintain course even tho it wasn't working...
But most importantly she told anyone that would listen she'd do everything just as Biden did.
Because neoliberals always act like Dem voters want what Republican voters want.
Because they are to the right of the average American not just in policy, but in personality.
You may be too close to that to be able to see it
Just to be clear, in your view, voters were presented with a choice between a candidate who was somewhat to the right of them, and another candidate who was waaay to the right of them, and the majority voted for the latter. You’re right, this makes perfect sense. You’ve got it all figured out.
The way I look at it is simple.
Every Dem candidate since 1976 has been close to Jimmy Carter.
Every GOP candidate has been more Right Wing than the last.
I'd much rather have a slightly bad President than an absolutely terrible one.
