Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.

I'm not sure about that. Various branches of philosophy will argue doing what you know as good which is against one's desires is the ultimate goodness. But just doing good because you want to doesn't really get any brownie points. But at the very least, someone with bad natural urges who doesn't act on them because they know they're wrong surely isn't 'bad'. Ideally they should self identify to protect others in case they ever can't control themselves, and that's why we shouldn't really use the term pedophile the way we do with such negativity; but too many ignorantly people conflate the notions of desire and action, so that's pretty much a lost cause . Being a pedophile apparently is like an orientation which one has no control over, like being gay or straight. The difference is that a pedophile can never act on their urges without hurting someone terribly, which has got to really suck.
We seem to agree about everything? Or so I think.
Even the idea that acting against your natural urges is the ultimate goodness.
But you don't know that, many pedophiles might just do it to fit in in society, they got caught up in the help process (or whatever reason), and not for some empathic reason. There are obviously both IMO, hence the not bad doesn't automatically mean good.
It is quite interesting how people want to believe everyone is sort of baseline good (or so I feel), which is nice I guess!

I think the point they're trying to make is that i simply could not rape a child, like i just couldn't do it, I couldn't get sexually aroused to do it. Like someone could put a gun to my head and order me to do it and i would want to live and i still physically wouldn't be able to.
But obviously pedophiles can, biologically their bodies give them that possibility. So if they never do it, then yeah they're doing something good (which is the same good thing the rest of us do, but we literally put zero effort in.)
