The only people willing to do civil war in a meaningful number are being pardoned for j6.
I've said this 100 times. Our side is woefully unprepared and unskilled in this area.

A phrase I heard 20 years ago that stuck with me about people who want to move to the woods if things get bad: "if you aren't already prepared, it's too late."

That's not what I was arguing. And I didn't specify Dems. They're part of the problem because they keep capitulating to the GOP.
Review on your own the percentage of guns registered to Dems vs GOP. Then, remove party monikers and see where the guns are for Left vs Right.
Last exercise... Do you think if pressed MTG or Tucker would fight for or against whatever alliance forms for Trump? Will the lines be ideological or will they be blurry? Will your own classical beliefs allow you to fight alongside someone who is ideologically different to you but going after the same target? Who leads this hypothetical side?
That is what you are arguing. How Dem leaders vote has nothing to do with gun ownership which is exactly what you are referencing to the other person's comment regarding a civil war.
As for the data, every one knows Republicans have more guns. But Dems and independents also have guns and less than half of Republicans have guns. Don't act like it's 100%.

You addressed only one part of my post. I'll reserve my opinion on preparedness since it doesn't seem to really matter.

War is more than shooting guns. Taking down grids and disrupting supply lines are all effective.
I thought Russia would take Ukraine in 3 days. Russia might have a bigger army, but a bigger stick doesn't mean bigger brain.
The people of Ukraine were woefully unprepared a few years ago as well. People learn quick with the right motivation.
In 2014, the Ukrainian army was fucked. It took 8 years of being occupied for them to "get ready." They built up and prepared and had the backing of the EU to do so.
Your comparison is not sound.
Both aides are. In the entire western world, we live a life of luxury and comfort. There is real hunger and poverty, right beside uber eats delivery and people paying for consuming just to document it online.

This "paperless" politician has FAILED.
Eh everything has pros and cons. We need more trees and mutually beneficial vegetation, less data centers and smog. And while I'm not sure how to solve any of that besides reliable public transit, including rural areas (possibly dependent on smogless, less intensive-mining energy, possibly renewable) and planting more of said vegetation, I bet some engineers have great ideas. And since it's already been done and is being done, we can learn from successes and failures of our neighbors who've done it.
Cool. Do you have one at the ready? Are you able to find one if you don't when stores are closed down? When was the last time you saw a pitchfork at the hardware store?
If you're in a rural area, you'll be more likely to respond with, "Last week," but when shit goes down, it won't be in the 'burbs or in the country. That's where it'll end up, though.

In order to be able to read and replicate a journal article you really need an advanced degree or to do all the work it takes to get one. That demographic skews fairly heavily in one direction. Masami Tsuchiya only had a master's degree and he built an entire functioning chemical weapons factory on a fairly limited budget. That was way back in the 90s too. The worst things you could do now are 10x easier and could wipe out millions or billions.
