Yes, but... social media corporations have put a lot of effort into making anonymity progressively more difficult to maintain while still participating in society. Being a "normal" person shouldn't mean they just fuck you over by default.

And governments… I’m in the UK and waiting for Microsoft, Discord etc to ask me for my passport before I sign in.

Or the other way around; one of those obnoxious "sign into Google" popups when you're trying to pay your utility bill or update your driver's license.

Anonymity is hard–put in the work or shut the fuck up.
