You mean the meat-based dish? A product of an industry that relies on subjecting animals to cruel conditions while also frequently exploiting the labor of poor immigrants (including undocumented ones), while the bosses receive tax subsidies from the government?

But suppose I don't bring any of that up. Suppose you have a community that's just for recipies, and I post a comment under each recipie providing vegan substitutes. Suppose someone else starts replying to my comments suggesting ways to include more meat in recipies and starts cracking jokes about it. Is that political?

Stop you're making my mouth water

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Very political thing you just said, isn't it?

Sorry I didn't get past "meat based dish"

I'm glad you're contemplating these questions. You can answer whenever you're ready.

Well This is the recipe I last used, but I like to let the Bolognese sit in the fridge for a day prior and I tend to use double the garlic.

I also love to put a crap ton of chili flakes in the sauce while it's simmering, even swapping out chili oil for the olive oil if I want that extra kick, it does change the flavor profile a bit though so be sparing

Oh, so now you want to talk politics?

[–] Mastersmacks@reddthat.com 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You right, it might be better to not rely on the beef, I think a Bolognese with venison might actually slap, or buffalo, used to be really common in the rockies when I lived there

I'm just confused because you said you wanted a politics-free lemmy experience and here you are telling me about your politics.

[–] Mastersmacks@reddthat.com 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean I guess you don't have to alter the sauce if you don't want

Any idea what it would taste like if I made it with billionaire flesh? I believe in eating the rich, but it's just a dietary preference, nothing to do with politics.
