Right after release, firefighters failed to rescue a woman, Angela Chao, from a cybertruck which rolled into a pond killing her.
Fun fact, most articles about this appear to have been removed from search indexes, it was difficult to find on both DuckDuckGo and Google, and Google's AI summary will claim there is no record of a cybertruck killing a billionaire.
Wikipedia says it was a model X ..
The NYT article used as a citation doesn't appear to say that, but I could be mistaken, if so mb.
The NYT article cited in the Wikipedia article only says it was a Tesla. The WSJ article also cited does specify it was a Model X.

That's because they're not stupid enough to buy a deathtrap like that, and if a billionaire wants a vehicle that can traverse water they'll just use a submarine, preferably one made with a carbon fiber hull

She died because firefighters were unable to break the windshield of the Tesla, because Teslas use nonstandard glass, among other mechanical failures.

They used multiple tools to attempt access for a rescue. You don't generally attempt to rescue a corpse and you also generally don't need multiple tools if the first one worked.
I can't speak for everyone but my Downvote isn't because I'm defending Musk, it's because it appears you are sympathetic to someone who bought what Musk is selling.
Who the victims are doesn't change how I thing laws should be enforced.

I am by no means a musk fan, be he didn’t cause the death. At worst, and probably accurate, is his choices led to the inability for her to be rescued. I’d chalk up her drinking and driving as a more likely direct cause of her death.
