Yes, go to the power options, then advanced or custom ( cant remember what it said) and there should be a setting for what to do when the lid closes

one of my computers even had that built into its high performance/power guzzler or gaming or i forget profiles. it's been over 2 decades since my last laptop.

I did all the time. It's the only thing I used at the time.

I could play StarCraft with it.
