Interesting, I've never had another treat me like that. Maybe as a kid a parent telling me to shut up and giving me a good pinch because I was being legitimately loud when they were trying to make a phone call. Definitely not in my adult life, I think I would start laughing at them and double down on whatever I was doing that got that response.
