He's a prime minister, not a king. He should have a more humble housing imo.
It's not "his", it's the People's house. While I want a shining jewel of architecture to show the world I find it hard to disagree with you.
I don't disagree with you either. I want Canada to shine on the world stage as well. It's nice to show off our architectural prowess and how we can achieve great things. But they're just monuments.
But I'd rather it shone like the Scandinavian countries and their socialist policies and how they treat the roles of government representatives as actual civil workers than some kind of elite position of power and control.
It would make a nice museum, and they could have regular tours.
That's how it used to be, I believe. I mean it was the resident of the PM but there were also tours. Though I doubt now with all the fear of terrorism that they would allow visits again.
