No shit? It's hard to believe it's read as not an eye joke because it has no indication of any eye connection. Look at this post, how is anyone not familiar with this guy to know that?

I'd never heard of this guy either. But I read all the way to the bottom and deduced from the last comment that his previous comment meant something other than the woman's appearance. It requires using intelligence.

The glasses she refers to and are wearing are the context of his comment. That's pretty easy to understand if you aren't obsessed with standards of physical beauty.
