I dont watch anime but doesnt the majority of anime have at least one sexualised child in it?
i don't watch tv so i assume the same is true there.
As a TV watcher its not. There a very very few children being sexualized.
cool, then we agree.
I don't understand what your previous comment intention was.
that assumptions don't hold up to scrutiny. imagine if all you knew of tv was toddlers in tiaras, pop idol, and here comes honey boo boo.
I havent seen those shows but they are extremely controversial for this exact reason arent they? I dont think anyone even those who have never watched a tv show could say that was common.
While looking for some industry stats about anime to see if there was anything on this specifically. Given that majority of anime takes place in a setting where the characters are underaged and majority of the anime consumers are adult men and from what I hear fan service tropes are extremely common. So I guess it just comes down to how common that fan service actually is and which characters receive the fan service. Because I really have no idea how common fanservice is and just have to go off what people say.
If you are an anime watcher do you think fan service is common? I asked my weeb friend and they said not as much these days as it used to be but still common. But they're also a degen so maybe there is bias.
but you see how the exact same thing could be reversed right? i could pull the exact same unfounded "i don't think" and "given that x" and "from what i hear" and the back-and-forth would continue.
do i think fanservice in anime is common? no. i've basically never seen it.
there, i've now given as much justification as you did.
