When I have to go off my network because some website won't load because I am blocking their trackers I get sick from the AI ads, its gross. Truth in advertising is dead so so dead. They are not even trying to make products look real anymore.
I won't allow list the things the site needs, I would rather just go on mobile for a min. I wish I could set DNS settings per browser so I could spin up a lighter adblock that will allow the sites I have to rarely access and then just have a dedicated browser for.
This is extremely achievable
What browser? Or do I need to do split tunneling per app in VPN settings?
In Firefox, under privacy settings, activate DNS over HTTPS (DoH). The default DNS (CloudFlare) should work, but I prefer the custom setting
https://dns.quad9.net/dns-queryPrtty sure it's burried in the settings for bith firefox and chrome
In firefox, I think it would be in the DNS-over-HTTPS settings or a separate setting if you disable DNS-over-HTTPS. I thought it was a normal setting for all browsers, but I guess that's changed recently.
You can always use forks like waterfox, librewolf, zen, etc for having separate settings.
