I heard sometimes they're called forbidden Kinder eggs
Except Kinder eggs are also forbidden so it's kind of a catch 22

They're illegal in the US since it's a toy wrapped in chocolate. You can get Kinder Joys instead, which are half the fun and half the choking hazard
That's why I couldn't find any when I visited. I saw the kinder joys, but I'm not a fan. Did someone actually choke on the kinder surprise?
Probably not, but you know how public safety focussed USAians are. On the plus side you get a free handgun with purchase.
