It's not actually. Lots of Germans called out their Jewish neighbours and reported to the authorities, 1 in 3 east Germans were government informants often snitching on people for things like listening to rock and roll. To this day, Germans snitch to the authorities over the most inane shit to this day. The snitching mechanism IS the fascism. Fascism requires the active involvement of the citizenry, not just complacency.
Your statement is an extremely disingenuous read of my position. You can only really agree with op if you yourself are squeeky fucking clean, and I bet you aren't because no one is.
And even more just put their heads down and tried to ignore the ongoing atrocities, ie minding their own business.
