Had to scroll too far to see this.

Circle is much more accurate and easier to read. Having the percentage off avoids clutter, and with circle you can tell the percentage pretty closely anyways. Batteries are good enough these days that most people don't need to plan their charging throughout the day.

How is a circle more accurate and easier to read than two digits which represent the exact value and take zero mental power to process?

I would imagine it's some kind of pie chart maybe. That would make it easy to estimate the percentage but I would also prefer digits.
