Firefox says it will keep supporting uBlock Origin even as Microsoft Edge and other Chromium browsers phase it out under Manifest V3.

For everyone using Firefox, are you using it with microG or some type of sandbox? Even when going private, you can't download it unless you have Google Play services on mobile. Ive tried to see if it works without google and unfortunately it dosent. If that's the case for mobile, then technically we really shouldn't be using it either.

You don't need playstore...just download it directly from Mozilla. I do recall it was not easy to find the link from the main firefox.com website but I just saved the shortcut for future use.

I use Fennec from F-Droid, a Firefox fork.

I really wanted to use Fennec but its so freaking slow

In what sense? Fennec feels identical to any other Android browser for me...

I got one of the budget phones from Muerna, the Teracube 2s. You gotta go really light on the apps on this phone if you want to find e/OS alternatives, otherwise itll be either laggy, slow or just break and won't work. Fennec has a lot of privacy features on its app, to the point where some things just won't freaking load if your really concerned about internet traffic, ads, trackers etc. For me it just dosent work on this phone unless I use it on my other phone ive been experimenting with, Galaxy A16 5g.

There are those of us who are using Firefox on the desktop. No Google Play anywhere in sight. And on the phone I am one of the odd ones using the Gecko engine based native Sailfish OS browser.

Thats what I do too. But for mobile, currently I'm using DuckDuckGo until I find something that can work right on this phone. The default browser for this phone is garbage and Iv been trying to find an alternative since then.

It works perfectly fine on my degoogled old phone. I do run microG so that might be the case but I've not had any issues with it.
