I'm not entirely convinced that Google and Microsoft are Elrond in this particular issue .. or that uBlock Origin is the one ring .. it feels like this meme is something Sauron would push to make people think the good guys are bad guys ..

Make the ring ManifestV3, then it makes sense.
You'd probably also need to make Firefox Elrond and Isildur google, Microsoft can be some random orc or something ..
Every story has two sides, and unfortunately the victor often writes the first history. However I do encourage reading the real LOTR story as told in the last ringbearer.

Given that the author is a Kirill Yeskov, I think it's safe to say that it's fanfic, yes. Akin to Paradise Lost being the real story of the Bibble.
