Lama and llama are pronounced differently, though. It just turns out most usonians can't pronounce it.
It never occurred to me ‘’llama‘’ was a loan-word that should use Spanish pronunciation rules.
All these years, I thought I was introducing myself in Spanish, instead I was introducing my male llama.
Lah mah
Nope, it's the same.
And croissant has a hard R.
