nitter.net is currently replaced with a message about the C&D until zedeus (lead dev) gets legal advice on how to proceed. Other instances are probably ok for now (or at least until an API break). Not a great sign for anyone else who hosts it, but hopefully it gets resolved without development permanently stopping.

If Lemmy has a retweet function, I'd retweet your comment. More people need to see this.

Yeah anytime I see code that I use that interacts with a third party I mirror it to be safe. Repos are small. Especially if the third party isn't a tech company, like most home assistant things. They are incredibly hostile and letigous against open source projects that have the audacity to make their products better.
