It's very hard to convince people to switch to privacy foucused platforms nowadays.
It's just hard to convince people to try alternatives at all. Once they've dug deep into something they want to use, they won't budge.
Generally that's not been my experience. Person to Person it's been pretty easy for the most part. I can think of one exception from the past decade, one of those "I just can't start using another app" sorts. YMMV. Persistence furthers.
