The translation of the Greek term for summer is "good weather."
Go back to whatever frigid Baltic rock you came from, OP. Talk shit about me with the puffins, it's fine.
Sounds like you're as knowledgeable about pelagic seabird distribution as you're tolerant towards differing weather preferences ๐
This is the most unique insult I have read in a while.
Yes, that's correct. See, look, you can get that right. Why not go personally inspect puffin habitats and let me know where they are?
Because it's easier to read Wikipedia than going to the nearest puffin place (the North Atlantic Ocean) from the non-baltic peninsula with hardly any rock on which I live ๐
That translation makes sense - Mediterranean climates (like Greece has) don't have to deal with humid summers. It's easier to like hot weather when your sweat evaporates.
In places with hot, humid summers, sweat just piles up until you're a shiny, dripping, salty mess. And you still feel hot.
It also makes sense if "sunshine" is considered "good weather." Mediterranean climates have their wet season in winter, so summers are the dry season, with clear skies and little rain. It makes sense in Greece, but other places get regular thunderstorms in summer, occasional tropical storms/hurricanes, or season-long monsoons that bring torrential rain inland.
