Yeah, cold all the time, barely see the sun because I'm at work the entire time it's out. Can't do much of anything outside, roads are frequently shit, can't get together as much with my friends because none of our homes are big enough, think about offing myself constantly because of the above factors, winter blows.
Every reason you gave was because of capitalism
Capitalism is making it cold outside?
Cold air damming increases with climate change, so unironically yes.
Climate change
It would still be cold if there was zero pollution.
The cold is only an issue because capitalism, yes. Fwiw, "it's cold outside" is a neutral statement.
No it's an issue because I fucking hate being cold. I'd still hate it if the government was taking care of my needs. It's not like I'm living on the streets, I'm living in a house with HVAC, I still fucking hate it.
Oh, well that wasn't said. If you could be with your friends, got to see the sun, the roads were easy and third spaces managed, you wouldn't notice how miserable the outside is for you. Also you could just move somewhere warmer instead of thinking about offing yourself for 1/3 of a year.
Unless they need you exactly where your job is so you won't get an apartment in another city somewhere where it's warmer. Perks of a planned economy.
Like I'm fairly sure half the soviet union would've moved to somewhere around the black sea if they could have.
Yeah I've asked my mom, it was cold here in the winter in the soviet era too. And I believe a lot of people had these things called "jobs", except they were even less voluntary than they are now, so being at work for the entirety of the sunny daytime period of 10 AM to 3 PM hasn't exactly been invented with capitalism.
The one thing capitalism has changed is it gathered everyone into the cities because there's a lot less support of small countryside schools and such. So instead of walking 5 KM to bus stop to take the bus to school, kids can now take a city bus that stops closer to their home and comes every 30 minutes at most.
There's a bunch of problems you could solve by abolishing capitalism, but weather ain't one of them.
People that don't have jobs today lose their housing and starve to death. You think there's a level below that?
And no, what caused that was mechanization of farming.
Now, thanks to capitalism, we're dealing with heatwaves beyond predictions and snowstorms that out freeze historic data, so I wouldn't say that capitalism isn't impacting the weather. Also, before it, people had the ability to take breaks from work, which doesn't really exist today.
