After seeing what happened to Twitter following the purchase, I think anyone who buys Bluesky would be very wary about trashing the brand in the same way.
Don't just look at the company profits. After Musk bought Twitter, Trump won and Musk gained direct access to the government. I think, that's a pretty good return on the investment.
But most importantly: Elon now has his own big media company. No longer are the other rich guys ridiculing him because he doesn't have his own media empire. He's now a real full member in the club.
Do not underestimate the power of capitalism
