No they do the same in the UK now. They're not really meant to, but they absolutely do. Package behind the bins or in the bins is very normal here
Same in Germany, even in apartment complexes. Either they put it at your door or just put it right next the the fucking main door under the letterboxes. I had a delivery that got stolen because of it.
Nothing beats the one time where the Amazon driver just put everything for everyone at the main door. Outside. In the city.
Amazon should take a clue from German DHL and give an incentive to hand the packages to the people.
