Pumpkins can vary significantly in size, but giant pumpkins typically weigh from 68 kilograms (150 lb) to over 910 kilograms (2,010 lb), with some record-breaking specimens reaching weights of over 1,278.8 kg (2,819.3 lb).

But is that a real biological limit, or can we create an even more nightmarish monstrosity??
I wonder what growing the pumpkin in a space station would do, the fruit wouldn't have to be able to support its own weight at that point
With these massive pumpkins (I live in farm country and we need hobbies too) the single plant takes up pretty much the whole field, and more problematically, drinks somewhere around 200 gallons of water a day once they get big. So it’s more a logistics problem really.
If I could ever justify throwing a couple grand (I can’t and won’t) I’d love to try growing one hydroponically with a swimming pool as a reservoir.

A ton of water is just one cubic meter, so I suppose it's still not big enough to make a jack-o'lantern house.
(Which just so happens to be my only interest in large pumpkins)

Absolutely
Unlikely to get a carriage, as I believe the nature of their flesh would collapse. Thye do however get big enough for a 1 person chariot.
