- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing other users of being bots or paid actors.
- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users. The reason(s) behind moderator action(s) are publicly available through the Modlog.

It's so still so bizarre to me that a social justice warrior is supposedly like a bad thing.
I've come to understand it as is used, but on its own I still expect people who are hearing it for the first time being like hey that sounds pretty awesome, someone who fights for social justice in this shit hole world
It's not that surprising. Language has been doing it for ages, probably forever.
A "bleeding heart", mocking someone who is too empathetic. A goody-two-shoes. Terms have always been made for people that "indulge" too much into something regardless of whether it's the polar extremes of acquiring money or donating it.
If you're just surprised at the name, then idk, shit's gotta have some kinda name.

Mine is a personal opinion, while you arrogantly tell me I'm wrong to express my personal experience.
Think about that for a second while you reread our 2 comments.
Your choice for words determines how people understand you.

But you're a literal stranger to me, and there's no accounting for "taste". Such is life.
You said "It's not surprising." As a statement of fact. As you wrote it, it offers no leeway for an argument or an opinion and that means you are saying I'm wrong.
The way I see it... in my mind... I don't think...I think that... You didn't say these any countless ways to allow for my opinion to be anything other than wrong.
You chose words that didn't allow for any other opinions in direct response to me clearly stating an experience i am currently having and have held for decades.
That's pretty rude. Unintentional or not, that's what you did with your word choice, or lack there of.

Not that surprising. A relative phrasing requiring the first measure to be a benchmark, e.g. "yeah, it's kinda sad but not that sad."
So hung up on what I "said" when it seems like you misread and misinterpreted it.
