Canadian here. We used both “Knicky knocky nine doors” and “ding dong ditch,” but if I remember correctly, the first was more prevalent, and definitely is the first thing that comes to mind for me personally.
Oh, and I’m a middle millennial.
Also a Canadian (Ontario) millennial, I don't think I've heard "ding ding ditch", but would've called it "nicky nine doors", no "knocky", and no "nicky nicky".
Never really thought about why it was called that 😛
Canadian here, same here but I've ever only heard the first one as "knicky knicky nine door". But yeah that was the most common name here.
